My journey into fitness was sparked by a heartbreaking breakup, leading me to seek validation through competing in a figure bodybuilding event for a "revenge body." However, I quickly learned that bodybuilding prioritizes vanity over health and well-being, resulting in a painful journey filled with health issues. This realization guided me towards Brazilian jiu-jitsu, a sport that not only captured my heart but also introduced me to a more fulfilling and authentic path in the realm of true health and fitness. Juggling the responsibilities of motherhood, I navigated the challenges of postpartum recovery while striving to regain my competitive edge. If I could conquer these obstacles, so can you!
